The phrase doing the work in the first half is empirical support, which asks a harder question than describing a theory. Choose one theory and then actually appraise it: what has been tested, by what method, in which populations, and where the evidence is weak. Attachment theory is the strongest choice for a post that wants to demonstrate this, because it has an observational paradigm, longitudinal follow-up and cross-cultural replication as well as documented limitations. Erikson's stages have far less direct empirical testing and are better described as a widely used framework, and saying that plainly is a stronger move than presenting them as established findings. Piaget sits in between, with a strong observational base and a sequence that replicates, alongside decades of evidence that his age boundaries were too rigid and that competence appears earlier under better-designed tasks. Whichever you pick, the appraisal rather than the description is the deliverable.

The second half is where posts separate, because the brief does not ask you to describe spiritual development but to connect it to the physical, emotional and social domains. Make the connections specific rather than gestural. Spiritual development and emotional development share meaning making and coping, which is why the research on religious coping and psychological outcomes is relevant. Its social dimension is largely a matter of community, belonging and moral norms, which puts it close to identity formation. Its physical connections run through health behaviours, social support and observed associations with health outcomes, where the evidence is real but the causal pathways are contested. Note the measurement problem honestly, since spiritual development is harder to operationalise than motor milestones and much of the literature relies on self-report. Then integrate the two biblical principles into the argument rather than appending them, tying each to a claim you have already made.
